RISE

The RISE Resilient Communities project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme under the adult
education strand, aims to prepare citizens for natural disasters through adult education, digital
learning and innovation. It also promotes proactive disaster recovery and long-term community
resilience by integrating innovation, environmental resilience and risk mitigation strategies. The
main outcomes of the project will be to provide educators, community leaders and organisations
with tools to anticipate, prepare for and respond to climate crises. This will involve compiling a
collection of European best practices in disaster recovery and conducting pilot training for more
than 80 educators and community leaders and more than 250 adults in communities affected by
natural disasters. An Innovation Lab will also be set up to jointly design recovery solutions using
digital tools and participation models that ensure a sustainable and scalable impact.
